For a Good Cuppa, Check Out These Two Tea Houses in the Chester County Area
There are plenty of cafes and coffee shops that offer tea, but these tea houses around the Chester County area are made to bring specialty teas with a variety of flavors to your lips, writes Hira Qureshi for The Philadelphia Inquirer.
Located in the Eagle Village Shops of Wayne, A Taste of Britain has carried teapots full of warm, delicious tea to visitors and residents of the Main Line for the past 32 years. The tearoom has a few dozen different flavors each designed for those who prefer black, floral, green, or herbal-tasting teas. Try the classic English Breakfast black tea or get jazzy with their Moroccan Mint, a gunpowder green tea with refreshing mint.
For the food menu, A Taste of Britain has quite the spread with salads and sandwiches, as well as homemade scones. Don’t miss out on trying the full afternoon tea special at $36 per person which comes with tea sandwiches, different desserts, and the choice of your own scone or Scone of the Month.
While not listed by the Inquirer, the recently opened Mimi’s Tea Cottage in West Chester offers the suburbs an inviting and comfortable experience for tea. Their teas change seasonally/monthly and all are available for purchase at the shop, as well as teapots, tea cups, spoons, and napkins that decorate the front window.
Open Thursday through Sunday, their menu includes quiches, soups, tea sandwiches, scones, and more. Call or book online to reserve your spot.
