Chadds Ford Woman Acquires Popular Café Just South of the State Line, Ushers It into New Era of Deliciousness

Chadds Ford resident Elizabeth Moro is ushering the Centreville Café, a popular establishment just south of the state line, into a new era of deliciousness with an updated menu, writes Roger Morris for Delaware Today.

After learning that the café’s founder, Susan Teiser, was retiring, Moro, a former real estate broker, wanted to step up and run the business with her husband and co-owner, Vince Moro.

She has added her own flair to both the design of the café and its menu. The couple incorporated furnishings from their home, including a long wooden table for customers to enjoy meals together.

Serving items such as The Bubba and The Chuckie sandwiches, La Colombe coffee from Philadelphia, seasonal soups, and quiches, Centreville Café is open from 7 AM-5 PM on weekdays (closed Mondays) and 7 AM-3 PM on weekends. Moro hopes to be open seven days a week later in the year.

“I’m looking for a way I can be of service to the community,” she said, “and I believe hospitality should be about bringing people together. I love conversations and providing a place for people to have conversations.”
