Notoriously hard to please foodie and Barstool Sports CEO Dave Portnoy visited West Chester last week for his One Bite Pizza Review series, and quickly realized that local pizzerias live up to the hype, writes Mac Bullock for the Chester Daily Voice

Portnoy sampled three pies and seemed pleased with all of them.

The first stop he made was to Pizza West Chester where those who want to try their tasty pizza must come to the eatery — there is no delivery available. The wait was worth it for Portnoy, as he got a chance to chat with former Eagle and Super Bowl LII champ Brent Celek.

Once ready, the delicious pizza earned a high 8.4 from the pizza critic.

Next, he visited West Chester Pizza Café, which is one of the more recent additions in the borough. The eatery scored bonus points for its “cute vibe,” and its pizza got a strong 8.1 rating.

The final stop on the tour was Benny’s Pizzeria, one of the more seasoned pizza places in West Chester. Portnoy described the pizza there as a “classic football pie — not bad,” and gave it a 7.3 rating.
