It’s almost February and the chill of winter is in full swing. Yet there’s a chance to escape the wet and cold when you view Longwood Gardens‘ exquisite indoor exhibits. Make sure to check out their outdoor ones too if you feel brave enough to brace the wind, writes Holly Herman for Patch.

This Kennett Square getaway is perfect for Chester County locals and visitors who love the beauty of flowers and blooming plants. Longwood’s Winter Wonderland display is available for all to enjoy until March 24. Plus there are events and educational opportunities to take advantage of.

The Conservatory is one of the main parts of the property where you can see upcoming live performances of classical, jazz, and organ music. Buying tickets for these concerts also includes all-day access to the gardens.

One of the most famous areas of the Conservatory is The Orchid House which houses over 300 types of orchids from around the world.

“Our Conservatory, embellished with colorful blooms, lush foliage, and inviting fragrance is the perfect antidote to winter’s chill,” said Sharon Loving, chief horticulture and facilities officer.
