Stolen Sun in Exton will be hosting music on Jan. 6.

Even though December with its packed schedule is over, there are plenty of events around Chester County to keep you busy and entertained throughout January, writes Gina Lizzo for Main Line Today.

On Jan. 6, you can enjoy the Winter Solstice Music Festival in Exton. The live music event with five local bands is hosted by Stolen Sun Craft Brewing & Roasting Co. and benefits pediatric cancer patients. Tickets should be purchased in advance.

Also on Jan. 6 is Breakfast with the Trains in Chadds Ford. Visitors can get a behind-the-scenes look at the holiday train display at the Brandywine Museum of Art. You can partake in a continental breakfast in the museum’s Millstone Cafe while you listen to the designers explain how the extensive model layout was created.

From Jan. 10 through Feb. 4, SMALL will run at People’s Light in Malvern. Robert Montano, a Broadway, film, and TV star, will bring to life the story of a young jockey who undertakes extreme measures after he outgrows the sport.

Finally, Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square will be showcasing bold seasonal blooms and grand displays from Jan. 20 through March 24.
