Koffee Kake Ale will soon be coming to Victory Brewing as part of a team up with Tastykake.

Downingtown-based Victory Brewing and the iconic Philadelphia snack maker Tastykake teamed up recently to create Koffee Kake Ale, writes Emma Dooling for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

With brand collaborations in the craft beer industry on the rise in recent years, Victory Brewing wanted to get in on the action.

“As Victory entered the world of collaboration, it was especially important for us to select a partner whose identity, values, and flavor profiles would align with ours in a way that connected with our loyal fanbase,” said Kelly Irvine, brand manager for Victory Brewing.

The 6 percent alcohol-by-volume sweet ale includes pound cake and cinnamon notes in reference to Tastykake’s Koffee Kake Cupkake treat.

This unique beer combines the best traits of the two beloved local brands for loyal fans to enjoy in a new product, said Tastykake brand manager Ashley Hornsby.

Victory Brewing’s taprooms in Downingtown, Philadelphia, Parkesburg, and Kennett Square will start offering Koffee Kake Ale on draft on Dec. 22. Six-pack and 12-ounce bottles will also be available through Victory Brewing’s distribution network mid-month and will be sold at select retailers.

Customers will be able to buy the new brew until early March 2024.
