After Being Seizure-Free, North Coventry Man Climbs Mount Everest

By

After finally being seizure-free, Tyler Rogers, of North Coventry Township, celebrated with the journey of a lifetime: he climbed Mount Everest, writes Alicia Vitarelli for 6ABC.

Rogers suffered the first of many seizures ten years ago when he was on the wrestling team at Owen J. Roberts High School in Pottstown

“My senior year, our first duel tournament of the year, I got a really bad concussion,” he said.

That is when the seizures began. It has taken many years and four surgeries, but he is now seizure-free.

His journey to this moment has not been an easy one, but he reached it thanks to his positive attitude and faith.

“Just keep moving forward and there’s always something good in front of all of us, as long as we keep trying,” he said.

He has made it his mission to make up for the lost time, so he started training and climbing. In May, he took on Everest

“I got to the top,” he said. “I really do feel blessed that I was able to make it up there.”
