Phoenixville mother Jenessa Broderick is looking to thank the three kind strangers who recently helped save her son’s life, writes Walter Perez for 6abc.
This past Saturday, Broderick was driving her fifteen-year-old son Weston to a haircut appointment when he abruptly collapsed in the car.
Broderick originally thought Weston might be joking, but she soon realized he was having a seizure. She pulled over along Phoenixville’s main Bridge Street to get help.
Three residents immediately came over to help. A local firefighter, nurse, and fellow resident arrived to administer first aid and call 911.
EMS arrived soon after to take Weston to the hospital. He is now undergoing medical examination to understand the cause of the seizure, as he previously had no known medical diagnoses that would cause the event.
Now, with Weston home and recovering, Broderick is looking to get in touch with the three bystanders who stepped in to help. Both she and Weston would love to meet them and thank them for their lifesaving assistance.
Those who may have helped can send a message at 6abc.com/Contact to get in touch with her.
About the terrifying experience and the help from total strangers, Broderick said, “They could have easily kept walking and get coffee or go to the gym, wherever it was they were going that morning. But they cared enough to help a screaming mom figure it out.”
