Quadratec’s “50-for-50" clean-up initiative empowers volunteers across the U.S. to restore 50 trails in all 50 states.

A Chester County company that specializes in Jeep aftermarket parts and accessories is paving the way for preservation and conservation one trail at a time, writes Donna Rovins for The Daily Local News.

Quadratec’s “50-for-50″ clean-up initiative, which was launched in partnership with the nonprofit Tread Lightly! back in 2022, empowers volunteers across the U.S. to restore 50 trails in all 50 states.

Since the launch, nearly 1,000 volunteers have completed a total of 29 projects around the country. In September of 2022, volunteers removed trash from 12 miles of trail in Coal, Northumberland County. More projects in the tri-state area, specifically in New Jersey and Delaware area, are in the scheduling phase.

Most of these projects have included picking up trash, infrastructural installations such as fencing or signage, protecting landmarks, and restoring trails that have suffered damage. Quadratec has been a partner with Tread Lightly! for two decades and has continuously been a fundraiser for its stewardship programs.
