The public is invited to Home of the Sparrow’s Power of the Purse Fashion Show on Thursday, Oct. 26, 5 p.m., at The Desmond Hotel on Liberty Blvd. in Malvern.

This event funds Home of the Sparrow’s programs and individualized case management to help women and children in Chester County avoid homelessness.

The fun begins at 5 PM with shopping, cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and a purse raffle for a Louis Vuitton bag. This is a great way to kick off your holiday shopping with merchandise from locally owned-boutiques.

The shop owners are returning 20 percent of their proceeds from the evening to Home of the Sparrow.

Some of the participating shops are Englund’s Apparel for Men, Gingy’s, Polkadots, Silver Linings Boutique, Tish Boutique, The Jeweled Warrior, and Van Cleve Bridal & Evening Wear.

Rajant is the lead sponsor for the Power of the Purse fashion show.

Enjoy a 3-course meal prior to the fashion show, which begins at 6:30 PM.

Jayne Brown, host at QVC, is the guest Master of Ceremonies.  The show will feature models from the Home of the Sparrow family, including volunteers, board members, funders, donors, and community partners.

Finish your evening with a raffle drawing for a Pochette Metis Louis Vuitton bag valued at $2,570.

Tickets to the event are $100 and include boutique shopping, the 3-course dinner, and the fashion show.
