These Five Chester County High Schools Made the Top 20 in Pennsylvania

Five Chester County high schools are in the top 20 in PA, according to the Best High Schools list from U.S. News & World Report.

Five Chester County high schools are in the top 20 in The Keystone State, according to the 2023-2024 Best High Schools list from U.S. News & World Report.  

The rankings were based on the scores each institution earned in six different areas of school quality on a percentile basis.  

The metrics included college readiness, state assessment proficiency, state testing performance, underserved student performance, college curriculum breadth and graduation rate.  

Downingtown STEM Academy earned second place, the highest out of all Chester County high schools in the report. The school has a graduation rate of 100 percent and earned 87.9 points out of 100 for college readiness.  

Here are other Chester County high schools that made the list of the top 20 in Pennsylvania:  

No. 5: Conestoga High School in Berwyn 

No. 6: Unionville High School in Kennett Square

No. 10: Great Valley High School in Malvern  

No. 16: Renaissance Charter School in Phoenixville
