Chester County Home to Nine of U.S. News & World Report’s 50 Best High Schools in Pennsylvania

Chester County is home to nine of the 50 Best High Schools in Pennsylvania, including No. 2, according to new rankings from U.S. News & World Report.

To determine the 2021 Best High Schools in Pennsylvania, U.S. News & World Report assessed schools across six indicators of quality: college readiness, college curriculum breadth, math and reading proficiency, math and reading performance, underserved student performance, and graduation rate.

Downingtown STEM Academy placed second in the state and 34th nationally.

The following high schools in Chester County are among the 50 Best in Pennsylvania:

  • 5. Conestoga
  • 6. Unionville
  • 14. Great Valley
  • 20. Renaissance Academy Charter School
  • 36. West Chester East
  • 43. Phoenixville
  • 44. Downingtown East
  • 50. West Chester Rustin
