Landenberg Village Starting Next Chapter in Its Illustrious History with New Owner
Landenberg Village, a popular and beloved spot in New Garden Township that consists of a hotel, a store, and an adjacent pump house, sold last month for $1.062 million to Fenix Capital Group, writes Richard Gaw for the Chester County Press.
The new owner specializes in creating innovative and sustainable projects in the Philadelphia region and southeastern Pennsylvania. Fenix co-owners Aaron Jones and Matt Feldman started to take an interest in the popular landmark recently, as part of their efforts to further their expansion in Chester County.
“When we visited Landenberg Village for the first time a few months ago, we both fell in love with it, simply put,” said Jones.
The pair plans to convert the hotel into a six-room inn, with each room having a unique design. The company will also coordinate three-to-four-day packages for families and small groups offering plenty of outdoor sportsman activities.
“We want to repurpose the hotel in such a way that it creates the illusion that you have just driven four hours to upstate New York while only 30 minutes from downtown Wilmington or an hour south of Philadelphia,” said Jones.
