This home in Landenberg blends two different aesthetics.

A custom-built 13,000-square-foot home bonds two aesthetics in holy matrimony. Owned by husband and wife, the Landenberg house incorporates both Farmhouse and French Chateau aesthetics, writes Drew Limsky for Delaware Today.

“The husband wanted a traditional Pennsylvania farmhouse exterior aesthetic, whereas she was interested in more of a French country interior. So as a team, we started to talk about the ways to marry those two styles.” said Jessica Fogle, associate principal, and marketing director of Malvern’s Period Architecture.

Dewson Construction Company and deVignier Design teamed up to make this vision become a reality.

The open-concept kitchen features a stone fireplace. Another stone fireplace can be found in the Great Room, extending all the way to the ceiling. The sitting room features ornate moldings reflective of French aesthetic and a nature-themed mural wallpaper ties together the chic dining room.

The exterior blends four distinct kinds of stones and is topped off with a Vermont slate roof.
