On Wednesday, August 9, the six finalists in the Taylor-Made at the Uptown Singer-Songwriter competition will appear on the main stage at Uptown!

This competition, focused solely on local talent, and sponsored in partnership with Taylor Music, received a whopping 41 submissions.

One of the judges stated being “blown away by the talent in the West Chester area.”

From the list of 41, a group of musical professionals narrowed the field down to nine semi-finalists. These nine semi- finalists, separated into groups of three, performed on three consecutive Wednesday nights in July, at which time the audience voted on two finalists each week.

At the big finale in August, a winner will be selected from the final 6 by a combination of audience and music professional votes. The grand prize winner will receive a $1,000 gift certificate to Taylor Music, a $250 gift certificate toward a recording session at TribeSound Productions, and complimentary tickets to four Uptown productions.
