Val Vigoda – an award-winning musical performer and songwriter who drives home her message of empowerment through her one-of-a-kind combination of world-class vocals, dazzling electric violin, trailblazing technology, and heartfelt, authentic storytelling – will perform at the Uptown! Knauer Performing Arts Center this evening, Tuesday, July 17, as part of its Speaker Series.

Vigoda spent many years touring the world as a singer and six-string electric violinist (one of only a handful in the world) with rock stars like Cyndi Lauper and Joe Jackson. She has written more than 20 songs for Disney movies and live shows and has co-written Off-Broadway hit musicals in which she starred. The most recent one is headed back to New York soon.

Vigoda’s presentation is especially fun and joyful, and it’s an energetic way of learning and inspiring creativity, using music, theatre, and storytelling to do so.
