A Coatesville restaurant is the center of the massive revitalization of Chester County’s only city. Record Kitchen + Bar offers cozy, contemporary fare, including wood-fired artisanal pizza, and fresh cocktails. More than $200 million will go towards the creation of arts centers, shops, music clubs, and a train station renovation, writes Ed Williams for Main Line Today.

The founders of the restaurant own an array of eateries throughout the region, including the Black Squirrel Pub and Haunt. Their mentality behind opening a space is to assess the character of the building prior to planning the business.

The building in question dates to 1889 which formerly belonged to the Coatesville Record newspaper. Framed pages of the paper can be found on the walls. It’s adjacent to Splitting Edge Axe Throwing which also shares the building.

This family-friendly casual environment is open every day of the week except Sundays.
