West Chester Aiming to Improve Its 13 Public Parks

Marshall Square Park in West Chester.

West Chester wants to improve its thirteen public parks, starting with creating a master plan for the parks that would address several most important issues, including capital improvements, writes Bill Rettew for The Daily Local News

The borough has budgeted $100,000 for preparing the plan, but it is expected that the price will likely be cheaper.

During the meeting earlier this week, borough officials agreed to hire a consultant who will be charged with preparing grant applications as well as raising some of the funding that will be required to pay the consultant’s fee.

“We will do anything to improve and make our parks better,” said Keith Kurowski, Parks and Recreation Department Director.
