This Local Spot is Among Six Great Riverside Bars and Restaurants
With spring lingering in the area, the weather is ideal for a visit to a bar or a restaurant that offers gorgeous views of one of the local creeks or rivers, writes Jenn Ladd for The Philadelphia Inquirer.
Luckily, one of the six great Philly area riverside bars and restaurants can be found in Chester County.
La Sponda in Downingtown is a real-deal restaurant that overlooks the east branch of Brandywine Creek. Though the Italian menu prices trend upwards, everything is still reasonable and the meals are delicious.
The restaurant has a sunny flagstone patio that is kept cool and shady for customers with umbrellas during the summer months.
