Nick Filet, the filet mignon sandwich chain, is expanding with 11 new franchise locations, writes Kennedy Rose for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Great Valley High School graduate Nick Kline and his father, Keith, own the fast-food restaurants.

The expansion sites are in Texas and Florida. The first location outside Pennsylvania will open in Orlando later this month. The next five years will see another 10 locations in and around Dallas.

The Klines started the business three years ago with the aim of serving high-quality meats at affordable prices.

The eatery has shops in Paoli and Cape May; its first franchise location opened in Wayne last December. The father-son restaurateurs plan to strengthen its local presence in August with a new corporate-owned restaurant in West Chester and the additional franchises.

“From the very beginning, we wanted to be very aggressive (with) franchising,” said Keith Kline. “We want to be coast to coast. So there’s going to be no taking it easy for us.”
