For decades, Chester County Connect Care, a nonprofit based in Coatesville with additional locations in West Chester and Kennett Square, has been providing free medical services for individuals and families facing an unexpected pregnancy.

CCCC’s 16 staff members and strong volunteer base understand the confusion and anxiety that accompany an unexpected pregnancy and therefore provide support and guidance to help women consider all of their options.

“Our objective is to educate and empower families to make life-affirming choices,” said Nicole Crist, CCCC’s Development Director. “And we recognize that the struggle is not exclusive to the pregnancy period, and so, we walk alongside our clients through the parenting years.”

CCCC offers comprehensive support, education, and classes on healthy relationships, sexual health, parenting, pregnancy, reproductive loss, job skills training, and more. These services are designed to assist clients as they face the challenges of parenthood and their circumstances change.

“Our classes and resources aim to increase parenting skills, elevate independence, and build confidence, so families feel well-equipped as their child grows,” said Crist.

Organizationally, CCCC takes no political stances.

“I worked for the American Cancer Society for 10 years; everyone rallies around cancer,” Crist said. “But this issue is more unique and can be polarizing. We are self-sustaining, receive no government funding, and focused on serving the needs of the women in our community.”
