Memorial Day 2023 is less than 50 days away; however, Hobart’s Run, Pottstown, wants to remind Chester County residents that Labor Day is only about 125 days after that. The significance of the timeline lies in the fact that Hobart’s Run and the Pottstown Area Economic Development (PAED) organization have already set a Sept. 8 date for the 2023 Fête en Blanc, their signature end-of-summer dining experience.

And businesses are already lining up for sponsorships.

Moreover, ticket sales are again going on sale. Their limited number — only 750 — means they will go fast.

So if VISTA Today readers are interested in either sponsoring or attending this charming, unique, upscale event, the time to do so is now.

Details

This everybody-wears-all-white, outdoor, last-hurrah-of-summer party will light up Smith Family Plaza at Pottstown Borough Hall, 150 E. High St.

The occasion is an eclectic and animated gathering of residents, businesses, and out-of-town visitors who have heard about the beauty and fun of previous Pottstown Fête en Blanc versions.

Fête en Blanc is a wonderful way for an organization to share in this prominent community gala. Furthermore, our sponsors are noted for their contributions to Pottstown’s increasingly vibrant business and residential community.

Sponsorship tiers are:

• $2,500 Platine (platinum)
• $1,000 Blanc (white)
• $500 Dore (gold),
• $250 Argent (silver)

The generous contributors will receive recognitions and complimentary ticket reservations appropriate to each level; sponsorship registration and details are at the Pottstown Fête en Blanc website.

Sponsorships should be received by May 31, and will only be accepted after then based on availability.

Attendees

Individuals interested in attending may register beginning June 1 at the same Pottstown Fête en Blanc website.

Registrants will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Each registrant will be charged a nominal fee of $15 per person, capped at six persons per registrant, to help cover essential costs for necessities such as table and chair rentals, security measures, entertainment expenses, and restroom facilities.

Please note admission does not include food or beverage.

The 2023 fee has increased — albeit slightly — from the charge for prior editions, owing to rising costs.

Local participating restaurateurs will accept food prepurchase orders (and, as always, guests may bring their own picnic dinners). Cocktails and spirits will be available for purchase from featured Pottstown-based beverage vendors that evening.

Commemorative 2023 etched Fête stemmed glasses will be available again this year.

The event’s website is the primary source of information; however, the social media pages of both the PAED and Hobart’s Run will issue details as they become available about the restaurant list, beverage vendors, preordering information, and other updates.

Organizers kindly ask registrants who cannot attend to transfer their ticket(s) to a friend, family, or neighbor and contact organizers by email immediately to release the seats. No refunds will be available to registrants who are unable to attend.

Naturally, guests who wish to wear masks to the 2023 Fête en Blanc are welcome to do so. Those choosing face coverings are asked to stay within the theme and choose those of white or clear material.

Time to Get Ready

As noted, there’s plenty of time to prepare. But with the knowledge that springtime calendars seem to run very quickly and tickets and sponsorship opportunities for the 2023 Fête en Blanc are apt to go fast, interested residents should act now.

It’s never too early to get those white outfits to the cleaners, start designing a white centerpiece, designate a clear or white raincoat or umbrella (just in case), and prepare to enjoy one of Pottstown’s most charmingly surprising nights on Sept. 8.
