Two Chester County businesses are being recognized as top workplaces, according to a survey by Exton-based Energage.

Energage asked employees of the businesses and organizations to fill out the survey anonymously. All employers with more than 150 employees are eligible to enter and must get a 35 percent response rate to be considered, writes Daniel Urie for Penn Live.

Chester Spring’s Carshop and The Institutes in Malvern were the two Chester County organizations to make the list.

The pre-owned car sales company was an additional winner in the 500-999 employee category. It’s also earned the award of the top workplaces in the U.S.

Malvern’s The Institutes is an insurance and risk management provider. It is a winner in the 150-499 employee category.

To determine which companies earned the top spot, the survey measured the success of the companies based on their values, meaningful work, management style, performance, employee engagement, and leadership.

It also measured the companies based on pay, benefits, flexibility, and training.
