West Chester Artist Helps Businesses Show Off Team Pride with Eagles Paintings
West Chester artist Stefanie Heron Birl, of Birl Girl Designs, is helping people and businesses show off their Eagles pride by decking their homes and storefronts with Eagles paintings, writes Beccah Hendrickson for 6ABC.
Heron Birl pivoted from face painting to window art. Now, she is getting requests from all over the Delaware Valley to paint the Eagles logo and other birds-related images and phrases on homes and storefronts.
“People love their sports teams, yes,” she said.
In the last several weeks, she has done artwork for everything from hoagie shops to candy stores and so much more.
“It’s like people don’t get us,” said Heron Birl. “We just totally love our sports and our sports teams. I’m still pinching myself that I’m doing this because I can’t believe that I went to school for art. I have a degree in art, and I’m actually using my talents.”
So far, she has decorated 15 stores and homes in green art, including her latest project: Delco’s Original Steaks & Hoagies in Chadds Ford.
“We loved what she does so we wanted to add a little spice to the store as well,” said Manager Bryana Crowley.
