Chester County Home to 11 of the State’s 100 Safest Places to Live; Three Municipalities Report Zero Violent Crimes

Chester County communities were noted for safety in a 2022-released assessment of local crime statistics.

Chester County is home to 11 of the 100 Safest Places to Live in Pennsylvania, according to a 2022 list from ElitePersonalFinance.com.

To determine which places are safest, the website extracted the latest available data from FBI crime statistics. Cities with fewer than 5,000 residents or those that did not report crimes to the FBI were not included on the list.

East Vincent Township ranked highest, in ninth place. The municipality, with its 7,232 population, reported zero violent crimes.

East Marlborough Township with a population of 7,416 is close behind (10th place), also with no violent crimes officially logged.

Upper Uwchlan Township is next. The town’s 11,506 residents placed No. 12 with zero violent crimes.

East Coventry Township with a population of 6,778 follows. The town recorded one crime, which placed it at No. 19.

West Vincent Township ranked No. 29, followed by Schuylkill Township at No. 40.

Right behind are Kennett Township, East Whiteland Township, and North Coventry Township at Nos. 41, 42, and 43, respectively.

Meanwhile, Willistown Township ranked No. 52.

The list is rounded out with Tredyffrin Township at No. 85.
