2022 VISTA Millennial Superstars: Brian Gresehover

By

Maryland native Brian Gresehover, who was born in Annapolis and raised in Columbia before arriving in southeastern Pennsylvania in 2016, is a Project Engineer III for Aqua Pennsylvania, which serves approximately 1.5 million people in 32 counties throughout the state.

Gresehover, who began working as a paperboy when he was 12 years old, earned a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland and a master’s degree in Environmental Engineering from Johns Hopkins University. He credits his current manager, Joe Thurwanger, for having the biggest impact on his career.

“Joe gave me an opportunity to challenge myself and apply everything I had learned in my career to date when I was brought on board at Aqua and became an active part in the world-class infrastructure renewal program here,” Gresehover said. “Joe and other leaders at Aqua have continued to lead by example, offering much more guidance and input than they may realize.”

His proudest professional achievement is his ongoing involvement with Aqua’s infrastructure renewal program.

“This includes the technical and program management aspect, including numerous project execution efficiencies and technical advancements that we have realized over the past six years,” said Gresehover. “It also includes team development through internal promotion and hiring top talent and providing the on-the-job training. Then, there’s the community outreach — strengthening our relationships with our partner municipalities and customers to make the program run as smoothly and efficiently as possible.”

Gresehover has a long list of favorite spots in Chester County, including Bluebird Distilling, Stable 12 Brewing, Victory Brewing Company, and Levante Brewing.

“There is a strong historic connection between brewing and waterworks,” he said.

Gresehover and the rest of the 2022 Class of VISTA Millennial Superstars will be honored at the Awards Reception & Celebration held outdoors on Tuesday, May 10 at Penn State Great Valley. The in-person event will feature food trucks, drinks, touchless registration, a VIP tent, and boundless opportunities to network. It will also be live-streamed.
