2022 VISTA Millennial Superstars: Dan Koval

By

Dan Koval, a native of Roxborough and a proud product of Philadelphia’s public school system, is a Corporate Initiatives Manager for Bentley Systems, the software development company in Exton that supports the professional needs of those responsible for creating and managing the world’s infrastructure.

Koval, whose first job was as a student farmer in high school, credits Nick Winkler with having the biggest impact on his career.

“He was the one who taught me to look at those around me, learn from their experience, and use it as wisdom for making decisions,” said Koval. “This thought practice radically changed how I approached life.”

As a Corporate Initiatives Manager at Bentley Systems, Koval enjoys traveling the world to see the real-life impact of good people using their money wisely. He discussed two specific projects as his proudest professional achievements.

“I helped construct a foot bridge in the rural hills of Rwanda and spent an amazing two weeks with the fabulous people in the village we were serving,” Koval said. “Right now, I am in the midst of helping people fund crisis relief efforts for the war in Ukraine.”

Koval’s favorite restaurant in Chester County is Lione’s Pizza in Downingtown.

“Their love for our community and their phenomenal food keeps me and my family coming back,” he said.

Koval and the rest of the 2022 Class of VISTA Millennial Superstars will be honored at the Awards Reception & Celebration held outdoors on Tuesday, May 10 at Penn State Great Valley. The in-person event will feature food trucks, drinks, touchless registration, a VIP tent, and boundless opportunities to network. It will also be live-streamed.
