Two Chester County companies have found their place among the Top 100 on Forbes’ list of America’s Best Large Employees. Ryan Mulligan covered the distinction for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The University of Pennsylvania Health System, owner of Chester County Hospital, cracked the influential magazine’s Top 50 at No. 43.

Penn Medicine is the largest employer in the Philadelphia area with more than 44,000 employees. And that number continues to grow, as Penn Medicine recently offered sign-on bonuses to new hires of up to $10,000.

This is not the first time Forbes has recognized Penn Medicine. The health system ranked at No. 44 on its 2021 list of Best Employers for New Grads, No. 68 among Best Employers for Women, and No. 90 among America’s Best Employers.

Malvern-based Vanguard ranked No. 75.

The investment giant is the region’s seventh-largest employer with more than 17,000 employees. It found its place on the list, thanks in part to the numerous workplace initiatives, such as providing $1,000 bonuses to employees who had been vaccinated against COVID-19.
