Chester County's hot chocolate scene — for taste, quality, and variety — has definitely gotten hot.

Chester County is home to several popular spots that make some of the best and creamiest hot chocolate around. Tori Bissonette stirred up some local favorites for Main Line Today.

Gemelli Gelato in West Chester is much more than just an ice cream stand. It also serves 100-percent-homemade hot chocolate throughout the year. Its rich and creamy cups can be enjoyed on their own or over homemade gelato flavors such as Belgian cookie.

Next is Philter Coffee in Kennett Square. While known for seasonal and specialty coffee blends, it also offers delicious craft drinking chocolate and a classic cup of hot cocoa.

Meanwhile, Steel City Coffeehouse in Phoenixville is the ideal spot to enjoy an evening cup of hot chocolate with a side of live music. The seasonal menu currently features a new Grinch Hot Chocolate flecked with ground green mint.

Finally, Sweet Brew Café in Phoenixville is famous for its build-your-own bagels. It also, however, serves up delicious perfection with its creamy hot chocolate. Mugs are available in plenty of available flavors, including cinnamon dolce and mocha.
