Chester County Community Foundation’s Chair’s Choice a Celebration of Philanthropy Leadership

Join the Chester County Community Foundation to honor its Outgoing Board Chair, Robert E. Rigg, and welcome Incoming Chair Anthony Morris, Esq., at Galer Estate Vineyard and Winery on Sunday, June 24.

This year’s Chair’s Choice event celebrates Rigg’s successful two years as Board Chair and kicks off the start of Morris’s term.

Guests are welcome to stroll through the Galer Estate grounds and enjoy the beautiful sights and smells of a working vineyard. John Serock Catering will provide delectable hors d’ouevres and desserts that will seamlessly complement Galer’s award-winning wines.

As Board Chair of the Chester County Community Foundation, Rigg served as the chair of the Investment Committee and worked as a member of both the Finance Committee and the Strategic Initiatives Task Force.

Along with his wife Karen, Rigg has made generous grants to charities throughout the region through the Rigg Family Foundation. His contributions to the Chester County Community Foundation are both significant and deeply appreciated.

The Community Foundation is excited to welcome Morris as the Incoming Board Chair. The Community Foundation is confident that Morris’s expansive experience will lend greatly to his success as Board Chair.

As a partner with Buckley Brion McGuire & Morris LLP, Morris works in a variety of practice areas, including wills and trusts, estate planning, and small business matters. He has previously served as president of the Chester County Bar Association, completed a three-year term as a Hearing Committee Member serving on the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, and worked as a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s House of Delegates.

Morris is an active volunteer with the Community Service Planning Council of West Chester, West Chester Area Day Care Center, and Handi-Crafters. He has served as Vice Chair of the Community Foundation, where he and his wife, Betty, have a fund of their own.
