The number of new COVID-19 cases is starting to decrease throughout the state, with Chester County’s numbers following this downward trend and recording a significant drop in the last seven days.

The latest numbers compiled by the Pennsylvania Department of Health highlight the rates of COVID-19 infection in each of the state’s ZIP Codes for the seven days ending Feb. 3, compared to infection rates for the seven days prior.

The highest percentage increase in Chester County during this period was in ZIP Codes 19343 (Glenmoore) and 19475 (Spring City). Both places recorded a five percent increase to reach 318 and 507 cases, respectively.

Additionally, ZIP Codes 19365 (Parkesburg) and 19352 (Lincoln University) each saw an increase of four percent.

Meanwhile, ZIP Codes 19310 (Atglen) and 19362 (Nottingham) recorded the smallest increases in Chester County, as each experienced just a one percent increase in cases.
