There are plenty of things to do, places to be, and views to see in Chester County as a new round of events pop up like daisies for May. Be sure to check some of these events around the Main Line, writes Gina Lizzo for Main Line Today.

On May 3 in West Chester, stroll on self-guided art tour as local artists display their work in businesses and galleries downtown.

The Spring Craft Fair in Exton on May 4 will feature over 70 vendors. Buy a Mother’s Day gift, something for that birthday coming up, or just indulge yourself.

The Festival of Fountains is coming up May 9 – Sept. 29 at Longwood Gardens. 1,719 jets cater to making exquisite water displays alongside entertaining music.

Styer’s Peonies in Chadds Ford will hold their annual Festival of the Peony event May 17-31. Take pictures, buy flowers, and admire the fresh blooms that are only here for a limited time.

Penns Woods Winery and Paradox Country Farm have partnered for Derby at the Vineyard May 18-19. The Chadds Ford event will supply wine and a good horserace. Plus, live music and goods from a small artisan market may catch your eye.

Finally, the renowned Devon Horse Show starts on May 22. In its 128th year, the historically fun event is great for a family-friendly day out and equestrian lovers. Proceeds go towards Bryn Mawr Hospital.
