A large sculpture by Chadds Ford-based artist Lisa Fedon will be installed in the plaza area of 44 West in West Chester, writes Bill Rettew for the Daily Local News.

The four-story, mixed-use building has been developed at the corner of Gay and Church streets by Eli Kahn.

The interactive sculpture – “Dimensional Truths” – features several movable elements that the public will be able to touch. It is seven feet tall, three feet deep, and four and a half feet wide. It is mostly made up of welded steel, including components created from rebar, auto body parts, chain, and metal mesh.

The sculpture is currently sitting just inside the windows of the building, from where it will be moved to the eastern side of the plaza.

“Seeing it in person is really impressive,” said Borough Councilman Michael Stefano. “A picture doesn’t do it justice. It’s not what I expected.”

According to the Public Arts Commission, the elements of the sculpture symbolize the life of Jack Loew, father of Adam Loew, who had the initial vision for the project.
