Hoagies are a regional staple, and no one makes them better – or bigger – than Lorenzo’s Steaks and Hoagies in West Chester, writes Jason Sheehan for Philadelphia magazine.

While the popular shop on East Market Street is renowned for its cheesesteaks, its hoagies are just as good – if not an even better option. Loaded, heavy, and handled with care, they are likely to satisfy even the most demanding palate and easily satisfy any hunger.

There are three sizes available – with the large weighing around four pounds – and plenty of options and combinations to choose from.

Due to its popularity, the wait at Lorenzo’s can get long, but your patience will be rewarded with a superb meal.
