The Most-Educated County in Pennsylvania? You Guessed It. These Stats Tell the Story

Chester County is the most-educated county in Pennsylvania, according to a new report from Stacker.

To determine the most-educated county in every state, Stacker evaluated each county’s over-25 population across seven educational tiers.

Chester County ranked first in Pennsylvania and No. 59 out of 3,142 counties or county equivalents nationwide.

According to the report, here are the highest levels of education attained by Chester County residents:

  • graduate or professional degree: 21 percent
  • bachelor’s degree: 30.8 percent
  • associate’s degree: 6.2 percent
  • some college, no degree: 13.8 percent

Also, only 6.8 percent of county residents do not have a high school diploma.
