Devon has a median household income of $183,000, which also puts it in the upper half of the most affluent towns in each state.

Business Insider used data – from the American Community Survey provided by the Census Bureau – from 2013 to 2017 for places with a population of at least 1,000. From there, it created a map of the towns with the highest median household income in each state.

The report also shows that there is a large overlap between towns with the highest median household income and educational attainment. In 19 states, the winner in the most affluent category was also the top in the state for educational attainment, or where the highest percentage of the population aged 25 and older holds at least a bachelor’s degree.

Pennsylvania is among these 19 states, as Devon is also the most educated town in Pennsylvania with 83 percent of the population aged 25 and older over holding at least a bachelor’s degree.
