Linda’s Hair Techniques in Avondale and its owner, Linda Deeney, are celebrating three decades of helping people feel good about how they look, writes Steven Hoffman for the Chester County Press.

“I have always loved doing hair,” said Deeney, a Landenberg resident. “It’s a lot of work, but I love the people and I love what I do.”

By the time she opened her salon in August 1990, Deeney had already established a loyal clientele from her previous 10 years as a hairstylist.

Deeney first worked at a salon, shampooing hair while she was still a student at Avon Grove High School. Later, she earned a scholarship to hairdressing school.

She then built her own business based on the foundation of offering clients a service that is a cut above. She also supports school and community activities through the years with her business, something she is overjoyed to be able to do.
