Eileen Law, a private investigator based in Kennett Square who has been solving cases for more than three decades, enjoys being able to set things right for her clients, no matter how much of a challenge that is, writes Steven Hoffman for Chester County Press.
In her illustrious, 35-year career, Law has handled many different cases, from missing persons to investigations of kidnapped children to searches for biological families.
Law – the president of CIA, Inc. of Kennett Square (CIA stands for Confidential Investigation Agency) – has always made her work about giving people peace of mind.
“I believe in justice,” she said.
While growing up outside West Chester, Law was nudged into her future profession by a friend who did not know her biological parents. Through that friendship, Law realized what kind of difference she could make in a person’s life.
Before starting her own firm, Law worked as the secretary in the Office of the Chester County District Attorney. She soon became a paralegal and enrolled in the Philadelphia Police Academy. After working with the Chester County Sheriff’s Department, she petitioned the court for a license to become a private investigator.
“Then,” she said, “I was Detective Eileen.”
