Still, despite the beefed-up cleaning and safety protocols, some gym goers are hesitant to return to their old exercising schedules, which means that only about a third of the people who usually go to the gym have returned.

“We know that physical fitness is an important aspect in our community, and we want to provide our community with a safe and clean environment to stay safe and active,” said ACAC general manager Beth Carotenuto.

Even before the pandemic, ACAC routinely ranked among the top five percent in national health club cleanliness.
