West Chester’s newest and hottest restaurant, Andiario, has made the list of semifinalists for America’s Best New Restaurant, a prestigious award granted by the James Beard Foundation, writes Jordan McBride for Main Line Today.

The Italian eatery is one of 30 restaurants vying for the honor of being named the best newcomer in the country.

Since opening last March, the restaurant has received accolades not just from customers, but also food critics. This has made the restaurant one of the most sought-after reservations in the suburbs.

The restaurant is co-owned by Chef Anthony Andiario and his partner, Maria van Schaijik. Before opening his own restaurant in West Chester, Andiario worked alongside James Beard Award-winner Chris Bianco in Phoenix.

The finalists for the award will be announced on March 27 at a press conference in Houston.
