Bomba Taco + Bar, a bar/restaurant focused on tacos and rum that is the little sister of Paladar Latin Kitchen, has opened its first Pennsylvania location at the Grove in Malvern, writes Michael Klein for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

While Paladar is more of a destination according to co-founder Andy Himmel, Bomba is “more of a neighborhood hangout — a little more simple and direct with a menu that’s primarily focused on tacos of all different flavors.”

This means that its tacos are not strictly Mexican or Latin, but also have fillings such as Thai chicken and Vietnamese meatball.

Meanwhile, the full bar is focused on rum, with 24 varieties – some of them local – to choose from.

Additionally, the menu at Bomba includes bowls, build-your-own guacamole, salads, and various snacks. The eatery also offers a kid’s menu, gluten-free menu, and a weekend brunch menu.

The new Malvern location will seat 64 in the dining room, 20 at the bar, and 52 in an all-season room with fireplace. An additional 42 seats will be available outdoors in season.
