Lauren Harrell, who was born in Falls Church, Va., and grew up in Orange County, Calif., is the Head of Commodities, Financial Institutions Group at Chatham Financial in Kennett Square.

Harrell earned a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and a master’s degree in Finance from Gonzaga University. She credits her current boss, Andrew Little, as having the biggest impact on her career.

“He has made me not only a better employee, but a better person,” said Harrell, who began working as a photographer when she was 14, taking pictures of youth sports teams. “I am thankful for Andrew’s trust, guidance, and spot-on business judgement.”

Harrell’s proudest professional achievement is being entrusted to develop and build out a whole new business line for her team in a new market.

“Working across teams to pull it together and see the results is extremely gratifying,” she said. “I am incredibly fortunate for this opportunity and enjoy coming to work.”

Her favorite Chester County restaurant is Talula’s Table in Kennett Square.

“The atmosphere is warm, people are friendly, and the food is amazing,” she said.
