Delaware County native Kate Sheehan is the Senior Manager of Community Affairs at Qurate Retail Group, the West Chester-based media conglomerate that includes QVC.
Sheehan earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Saint Joseph’s University, a master’s degree in Public Administration from Villanova University, and a certificate in Corporate Citizenship from Boston College. She credits Suzanne Quigley, Qurate’s Director of Corporate Responsibility, as having the biggest impact on her professional career.
“Suzanne’s experience, level of expertise, and compassionate leadership have been huge drivers of my success,” said Sheehan, who began working when she was 14 as an office assistant for her aunt, who is a physician. “She leads with integrity and humility and has been an active supporter of my career growth from Day One. I continue to learn from her every day and value our relationship immensely.”
Sheehan’s proudest professional achievement occurred in 2015.
“QVC’s workplace giving program was honored by the Public Relations Society of America with a Silver Anvil Award,” she said. “That same year, our team received the President’s Award from QVC for our work with the program and achieving the $1 million annual mark.”
Sheehan’s favorite Chester County restaurant is Asuka in West Chester.
