At tonight’s 40th Annual QVC West Chester Christmas Parade, attendees will be encouraged to make a monetary donation to benefit local first responders as part of this year’s Fill The Stocking campaign.

Organized by the Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce, the campaign is designed to be a gift of appreciation to local first responders – most of whom are volunteers – who help make the QVC West Chester Christmas Parade, as well as other events throughout the year, possible.

The public will be able to make donations at multiple locations before and during the parade. The Fill The Stocking ambulance, provided by Good Fellowship Ambulance Club of Chester County, will ride along the parade route just prior to parade kick-off. Volunteers with stockings will walk alongside the ambulance collecting donations from the crowd. Donations can also be made at the information tent in the Key Financial Holiday Village, open from 5-9 PM.

“Our community events, like the QVC West Chester Christmas Parade and the Benchmark Twilight Cycling Classic, rely on the support of our first responders to help provide a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone,” said Mark Yoder, president and CEO of the Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce. “The Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce is proud to offer an opportunity to give a gift of gratitude that will benefit our local first responders and emergency services.”
