The Bates Motel in Glen Mills is one of America’s top haunted attractions, according to a report from CBS Detroit.

The report also touted the haunted hayride at the Glen Mills farm with its “revenge-minded scarecrows.”

The attractions at Arasapha Farm have been declared the “best haunted house in America” by CNN Travel.

Also on the list was a second Pennsylvania attraction, “Hundred Acres Manor” in Bethel Park.

Around the country, guests can be frightened at an actual former school, The Dent Schoolhouse, in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Haunted Overload in Lee, N.H. gives you monsters roaming a farm.

At the Netherworld Haunted House in Stone Mountain, Ga., “enjoy” Night of the Gorgon and Cold Blooded.

The Haunted Trail of Balboa Park in San Diego, Calif., takes you through a terror-filled mile-long “grove of twisted pines and gnarled oaks” that ends with a malevolent maze.

Scared by the Sound in Rye, N.Y., brings horror to Playland Park with an enclosed haunted house and outdoor cemetery.

The 13th Gate in Baton Rouge, La., introduces you to iron-hot pokers, swamp pools of real snakes, mad scientists, and a “Carnevil.”
