Live streaming is now the fastest, most authentic way to reach an audience.

The business implications of live streaming are wide in range and global in scale, as the likes of Facebook, YouTube, Amazon, Mixer, Twitter, and LinkedIn all offer it on their platforms.

West Chester is home to a groundbreaking group of video production experts who are dedicated to helping businesses discover the power of live streaming. The StreamGeeks are comprised of co-hosts Paul Richards and Tess Protesto and producer Michael Luttermoser. They have an impressive following and a tight-knit online community that they serve through consultations and live shows that continue to inspire, motivate, and inform business owners who refuse to settle for mediocrity.

In keeping with its mission to help others achieve their live-streaming goals, the StreamGeeks will host the StreamGeeks Summit on Friday, Nov. 8 from 8 AM-5 PM at the Dream Downtown in New York City. The conference will be the first ever held on the East Coast that is dedicated to educating amateurs and professionals who want to broaden their industry knowledge of video production and live streaming.

“We will have CEOs and executives from the country’s top live-streaming companies with us to share their industry expertise,” said Richards.

The StreamGeeks Summit will feature panel sessions with industry leaders, including breakout classrooms for in-depth workshops. The event is meant to provide a day of collaboration and the opportunity for attendees to mingle with the industry’s top live streamers. For anyone interested in live streaming, this is an event they won’t want to miss.

Geoffrey Colon, the Head of Brand Studio at Microsoft Advertising and the author of Disruptive Marketing, will be the keynote speaker. He will highlight the power of live streaming and its influence on brand strategy, podcasting, the gaming industry, live music industry, and sports.

Tickets are available here. Lunch will be included. The event is being capped at 250 attendees.

A variety of rewards, including name recognition in credits of video, StreamGeeks swag, and tickets to a VIP reception on Thursday night are available. The VIP reception will include a “live-stream tour” of New York City’s historic Chelsea neighborhood, led by Ariel Viera, creator of Urbanist, whose live streams combine urban exploration and history.

VISTA Today readers can use the coupon code VISTA to receive either 30 percent off in-person, regular-priced tickets or premium virtual tickets that provide access to recordings of the workshops. Basic virtual tickets are free.

StreamGeeks is the marketing arm of Haverford Systems Inc. (HSI), a diversified and innovative technology company based in Downingtown that was established in 1987. HSI helps organizations improve communications and productivity and is ushering in a new wave of affordable collaboration technology that enables enterprise-wide deployments.

HSI manufactures two camera lines, HuddleCamHD and PTZOptics, that are being used by houses of worship, universities, telemedicine programs, and companies seeking to add video conferencing and/or live streaming to their business practice. The PTZOptics brand is now more dominant than Sony and Panasonic in the PTZ (pan, tilt, and zoom) camera space, and it is more affordable.

Locally, HSI does integration for companies, helping them design and configure conference rooms to meet their individual needs. It also offers an e-commerce site for the do-it-yourself crowd, with the added convenience of providing dedicated sales reps for help choosing products and a support crew that can assist after purchase.
