Grab a cape, hop on your broom, and head over to the Upper Main Line Y for a howling good time this Saturday from 4-8 PM. The largest Halloween event on the Main Line supports the Y’s annual campaign benefiting it financial aid program to support neighbors in need.

The fun and spooky event takes advantage of the former Cassatt estate that the Y calls home. Children and families travel through the 112-year-old mansion to meet friendly characters and pick up treats and prizes at each of the decorated doors along the Treat Trail.

Outside the mansion are carnival games with fun prizes, an inflatable obstacle course, straw-bale maze, and a pumpkin-decorating patch.

There are thrills and chills for the big kids (mom and dad) as you navigate below deck of the Haunted Pirate Ship in the Carriage House, known for its terrifying history of sea witches, creatures, and buccaneer ghosts. Take aim with a bow and arrow at Zombie Archery with the Y’s instructors. Who knows what lurks around the next turn in the Maze of Monsters as you decide which way to explore? Then, try to solve puzzles and collect clues to beat the clock in the Escape Room!

The event also offers a costume contest photo booth for children and families. Many also enjoy purchasing dinner and dessert from food truck vendors.

The event is open to the community – all members and the public are invited to attend. The entry fee is a minimum donation of $15 per family or $10 per individual. All children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult. The rain date is Sunday, Oct. 20 from 3-7 PM.
