League of Women Voters of Chester County to Host Q&A with Elected Officials on Sept. 28

The League of Women Voters of Chester County will host an event during which the public can meet elected officials and learn about their journey into politics and how they impact our community.

The event – entitled “Our Government in Action” – will be held on Saturday, Sept. 28 from 9 AM-3 PM at CROSSLANDS (William Penn Auditorium), located at 1660 East Street Road in Kennett Square, PA 19348.

The League of Women Voters (1920-2020) is a non-partisan organization that promotes political responsibility through informed and active participation of citizens in government and elections. The League does not support any candidate or party but does study and reach consensus on selected governmental issues. The League is a grassroots organization with national, state, and local chapters and membership is open to all and is FREE for students.

Hear from members of congress, commissioners, row officers, state senators and representatives, and more. The $10 registration fee includes a box lunch. The following is the event’s agenda:

  • 9-10 AM: Registration, Coffee, Networking
  • 10 AM-12 PM: Q&A with Elected Officials
  • 12-1 PM: Box Lunch and Networking
  • 1-3 PM: Q&A with Elected Officials

Elections and voting are core concerns for the League of Women Voters. Year in and year out, Leagues are committed to registering voters, providing Voters Guides, and hosting candidate forums that help to empower voters to make informed choices at the polls.

To attend “Our Government in Action,” you must pre-register using PayPal on the League’s website or by sending a $10 check to LWVCC, Box 62, Exton, PA 19341.
