The International Bridge, Tunnel, and Turnpike Association (IBTTA) recently awarded its prestigious 2019 President’s Award for Toll Excellence to the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission.

IBTTA is the worldwide association representing toll facility owners and operators and the businesses that serve them. The President’s Award for Toll Excellence is the top honor it gives out each year.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission was named this year’s award winner for the development of a suite of web-based applications – “Catch it Early, Act, Analyze, and Review” – that allows duty officers to respond proactively to situations as they arise in order to maintain traffic flow and more effectively monitor drivers’ travel times across the Turnpike.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission is one of six tolling agencies recognized earlier this year as a Toll Excellence Award winner. The President’s Award for Toll Excellence is selected from this group of previous awardees as the “winner among winners.”
