Uptown! Knauer Performing Arts Center will present Beginnings, a family friendly celebration of the music of Chicago. The band’s familiar songs span 40 years and include five No. 1 albums and 20 Top 10 hits. Kids, parents, grandparents, and even great-grandparents can share this melodic adventure on Saturday, Sept. 21 at 8 PM.

Looking back in time, a politically charged and musically experimental band was formed in the Windy City – a band that fused the elements of rock with a powerful horn section. Since 1967, Chicago has been one of the longest-running and most successful rock-and-roll bands in American music history.

Beginnings is the premier tribute to Chicago’s music. It is the only tribute comprised of world-class musicians and vocalists who mirror the original lineup of Chicago. The band strives to transport audiences back to the time of big-arena concerts with the sound, excitement, and emotion of three decades of hits from Chicago’s heyday.

Recently, the band was joined on stage by former Chicago guitarist Donnie Dacus, who said, “These guys are so good it’s scary!”
